We partnered with Natural England to produce a five-part documentary film series highlighting the restoration of Hoveton Great Broad, one of the most important wetland habitats in the Norfolk Broads.

The series focused on key aspects of the project, including the tracking of Bream and Pike migration, habitat restoration techniques, and the role of students and researchers in conservation.

The films were created as long-form, educational video content, specifically designed to perform well on digital channels such as YouTube and Facebook. Each episode combined expert insight with compelling visuals and storytelling, giving audiences both a scientific perspective and a human connection to the restoration work.

• 5-part series produced, with each film running between 4 –15 minutes.
• Distributed across YouTube and Facebook, achieving strong engagement and reach.
• Achieved an average engagement rate of 10% on Facebook, above the conservation sector average.
• Increased public awareness of the restoration project, contributed to an uplift in visitor enquiries of around 15% at Hoveton Great Broad during the campaign period.
• Positive feedback from educators, who have since incorporated the films as a teaching resource for environmental science and ecology.

By using video to tell the story of the Hoveton Great Broad Restoration Project, Natural England successfully reached new audiences, encouraged greater community engagement, and built stronger public interest in the long-term value of wetland restoration.
